Woodford Provides Detailed Specifications and Drawings

At Eagle Mountain Products, we are committed to providing a full service website for our customers including selling the entire line of Woodford outdoor faucets and yard hydrants, repair parts, and upgrade kits as well as providing video instructions.  For each Woodford product, you will find information on specifications and features as well as drawings and details regarding rough-in dimensions, inlet descriptions, and a detailed parts list.

For example if you choose the Woodford Model 17, one of our popular frost free faucets, you will find everything you need at our online store.   When ordering, we ask that in addition to choosing your model, you let us know the inlet and wall thickness.  The most common inlet is CP – ½ M Thread/ ½ F Sweat and the most common wall thickness are between 4" to 14" but we offer up to 24”.

In addition we provide any of the products you need to make your installation successful including the Woodford wall faucet mounting sleeve (WF-MS) that takes the guess work out of how far to stub-out the faucet through brick, stone or stucco veneers.  It also provides a secure anchor for the faucet.  Another problem solving option is our over-sized flange that is designed to cover a larger hole due to a previous installation and it too helps to secure the faucet to a solid surface.  The RK-OSF can be attached to Woodford models 14, 16, 17, and 19.

If you have any questions regarding our products, please email or give us a call and our knowledgeable and friendly staff will be happy to assist you.  Also if you are having difficulty installing or troubleshooting a problem with a Woodford faucet or hydrant, we can help.

Eagle Mountain Products is proud to be the authorized online retailer of the Woodford Manufacturing Company and we carry the entire line of outdoor faucets, yard hydrants and parts.  We also provide customers with lots of DIY information as well as a library of videos on how to install or repair one of our products.  See our website to learn more about our dependable Woodford faucets and hydrants.

More Answers to Common Questions Regarding Woodford Faucets

Our goal at Eagle Mountain Products is to ensure our customers buy the right outdoor watering device for their needs and then install the product correctly.  We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase of a high-quality Woodford product.  In addition we are the official online retailer for Woodford Manufacturing and carry the entire line of products.

We hope the following Q and A provides answers to some of your questions regarding the exceptional Woodford outdoor faucets:

Q:  How do I fix a leaky faucet?
A: There are several things that can cause a leaky faucet. A few examples are the packing nut may not be tight enough or the packing or vacuum breaker may be worn out and needs to be replaced.  If you are unable to determine where the leak is coming from, please call us at 800-308-0864.  Our knowledgeable staff can help to diagnose the problem and show you which repair kit you should purchase.

Q:  Is an outdoor faucet or hydrant repair easy to do?
A:  If you need to repair a Woodford product, we have a library of how-to videos to walk you through the steps.   Furthermore all of our yard hydrants can be repaired from the top of the unit so you are not required to take it out of the ground.

Q:  What is a Pressure Relief Valve (PRV)?
A:  Our Patented Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) prevents the faucet tube from bursting in freezing conditions, even if a hose is left connected to the faucet.  We have a video demonstrating how a PRV works in the faucet tube.

Q: Do I need a vacuum breaker, and if so, how do I install it?
A: If you have ever taken your hose off and had a splash-back of water, a vacuum breaker is designed to prevent that from happening.  We sell the Woodford Model 50 Auto-Drain Double Check Backflow Preventer that is the first ASSE 1052 approved automatic draining double-check backflow preventer. When a hose is removed from a Model 50 equipped wall faucet or yard hydrant, two linked but independent checks move as one to open a path through the valve allowing water to drain completely and prevent freezing.  Please see our Vacuum Breaker Repair installation video.
